Irrigation Workflow
- Collect field data using sensors and farm records.
- Measure soil moisture, temperature, humidity and rainfall.
- Check weather forecast for expected rainfall.
- Analyze crop stage such as germination, tillering, grand growth or maturity.
- Generate irrigation recommendation for each plot.
- Send advisory to farmer through web portal or mobile message.

Crop Stages of Sugarcane
- Germination
- Buds start to sprout and initial root development happens. Good moisture at this stage is important for uniform germination across the field.
- Tillering
- New shoots or tillers come up from the base. Water management during this phase directly affects the number of millable canes later.
- Grand Growth
- Cane elongation is at its peak. The crop needs adequate and timely irrigation otherwise it affects the final cane height and weight.
- Maturity
- Cane starts accumulating sugar. Water is reduced deliberately to improve the sugar recovery rate before crushing season.
